Miyanojyo Onsen "Sagara Onsen"

We visited Miyanojyo Onsen "Sagara Onsen" in Yuda, Satsuma-cho. This onsen also runs a restaurant, the left one in this picture is the entrance to the onsen. The grandfather of the current owner started this business.
You can have lunch for only 500 yen, and the price for bathing is 100 yen. That is, you can enjoy both lunch and bathing for only 600 yen. Every customer says the same phrase "Great value!" when coming to this place first time.
The dressing room is equipped with lockers. You can keep your valuables in the locker. You need to insert 100 yen coin to lock the door; however, don't worry, it will be returned when you unlock it.
The onsen type is sulphur water. Sagara Onsen has the private hot spring source as its property. The water is fresh and not recycled. The temperature is very high; however, after bathing, you can feel your skin gets smooth and will be really refreshed when sweating stops. The owner says most of the frequent bathers come here for bathing in the evening.
A large amount of the water flows out of the faucet. The faucet used to have a lion-shaped decoration, but it does not exist now. In this onsen, locals enjoy Bóntanyu (putting oranges in the bath, and enjoy the flavour), sometimes they get excited and throw oranges at each other. Some years ago, an orange hit the faucet and the lion decoration was broken.
He is a frequent bather Masanori, he always come here when he comes to this area. He highly evaluates the water quality.
As far as we have ever seen, Mr. Yoshikage Sagara is the youngest owner. He says the recommended season is winter because of the water temperature. Some onsen lovers regularly come to this onsen from Kanto (an area around Tokyo, it takes 2 hours by air) to enjoy the excellent water quality.
